Whether it is organizing drives and fundraisers to help communities in need, implementing a company wide initiative to push awareness of a health crisis, or inspiring young girls and boys and encouraging confidence in creative movement, I am more than a two-page resume

Advocate

Even as a young girl, I always looked to get involved, working to become the change I wanted to see in my community. Since 2018, I have been involved with Safe Horizon, the largest victim services nonprofit in the country. Utilizing my personal network and resources to help raise money, I organized a 2019 Halloween children's costume drive, and recently help get free ad time on two multiplatform networks for awareness during the pandemic.

In 2019, I also inspired fellow mothers in my circle to get involved in a similar cause closer to home (North NJ), and together we founded Bloomfield Mom Collab, raising money for a local domestic violence shelter in New Jersey.

Beyond that, my husband and I are fierce advocates for fostering, becoming resource (formally known as foster) parents in the fall of 2020. There are currently more than 400K children in the U.S. foster care system, and more than 4K specifically in NJ who need temporary and/or permanent placement. While opening one’s home can be a huge emotional and financial investment, these innocent children need love, a welcoming home, and to feel valued, because they too are part of our future.

BRG Leader

In fall of 2019, I planned, pitched, and spearheaded the first ever Women’s Heart Health Week for WarnerMedia, coordinating with business units across locations in the U.S. Various events were planned across the first week in February, leading up to Wear Red Day, an annual event from the American Heart Association used to create more awareness around the number 1 killer of women: cardiovascular disease.

In winter of 2020, following the Heart Week initiative that raised more than $3K for the American Heart Association, I was tapped to become the Women@HBO (and later Women of WarnerMedia) NY co-chair. Along with the other leads across locations, we planned events for International Women’s Day, and were able to quickly pivot during the pandemic, organizing virtual events and creating a monthly newsletter to engage our women colleagues. The newsletter covers a variety of topics, including microaggressions in the workplace, negotiation, equity, and the importance of self-care, providing insights, company updates, and both internal and external resources to support business needs and work/life balance.

Choreographer, Dance Instructor

A dancer since age 9, I was able to use my talent to attain a scholarship for college, performing on the nationally-ranked St. John’s University Dance Team (later becoming co-captain). After graduation, I felt a pull to give back to the community, and work to inspire young children and teens to use dance as a creative outlet, improve health, grow confidence, and use dance in a variety of ways including as a path to affordable education.

Post-college, my work with theatre company End Times Productions began in 2009 as choreographer for Manson: The Musical where I received rave reviews from sources such as the NY Times and NYTheatre.com among others, and continued on other projects such as the annual off-Broadway production of Naked Holidays and Vignettes of the Apocalypse festivals.

I have created various works for Millennium Dance Company’s dance studio in Harlem and the Bronx for more than a decade, as a youth instructor, and performed professionally with the Millennium Dance adult performance company from 2011-2015.

I was also the original creator of the nonprofit’s website (previously www.millenniumdancecompany.org)
